I recently finished this custom ordered quilt.  The characters are based on the Nickelodean, Jr show "Yo Gabba Gabba".  The toddler's name was appliqued as well.

It took me 3 full days (10-11 hour days) to complete.  It measures approx. 38" x 44".  It has a plush, tie-dyed like mint green Minkee on the back.

I quilted it with a "wavy-over-the-ditch" pattern and used the same stitch to quilt the large spacer blocks.  I made the binding scrappy to go along with the quilt.

I did decide to make this quilt available as a custom order request.  If you want one for your little tike, just visit my GALLERY  to contact me and I'll set a private listing for you.

Would you rather have some other type of quilt?  Sesame Street?  Blues Clues?  Etc?  Just contact me and I'll see what I can do and give you a price quote.

I do have it posted to allow up to 4 weeks for the item to ship.  But unless I'm swamped with things, it'll probably be shipped within a week and a half.  I just ask for 4 weeks to allot for any unforseen circumstances.

Dancing Wind Designs

Sue owns the Dancing Wind Designs, beaded jewelry shop, on Artfire.

She began her love of crafting, with seed beads, when she was a child.

There are so many beautifully crafted pieces in this shop, we had a difficult time choosing which 4 that we would share with you!  Even though we're long past Xmas, I just had to include a pic of one of the ornaments that are listed in her shop.  They're wonderful!

Sue offers FREE US shipping...how great is that???

Some New Things in My Shops

I thought I'd take a minute to share with you, in one place, some of my newest listings.  I'm very excited about my new line of applique animals.   I have a line of kitties (2 listed, to date... Bluebella and Chrysa .. but more to come) and farm animals (Moooo and Baa Baa) .

What do you think?

I have listed a new quilt... "Time to Churn".  What do you think?  Can you see how the smaller churn dash blocks make up the larger one?

Finally, there are a few new tablerunners, centerpieces, and table toppers... 3 Wizard of Oz themed and a Tropical Fish.

So, visit my Artfire and Etsy shops to see even more listings.  Check back often because I'll be adding lots of things shortly.

Liquidambar

Kitty is the "online" face behind the Liquidambar Studio but it is really a family affair.  Her husband, John, and both of their children create the wonderful things in their shop.

They sell pottery, clay jewelry, glass jewelry, and other types of jewelry.

Perusing their blog, I learned a little bit about the creative techniques.  They make their pendants with cast glass pieces using "frit".  What's "frit", you ask?  I know I asked that...LOL  "Frit" is crushed pieces of glass.

This is how they get those varied colors and looks to the pendants.  Each pendant is literally a one-of-a-kind item and could never be completely reproduced.  How cool is that?

I had a very difficult time choosing 4 items to share with you...especially, since I'm partial to blue and my eyes kept going to everything blue in the shop.  LOL

What are you still here?  LOL  Hop on over to the studio and take a gander at the large selection in their shop.  We'd love for you to come back and tell us what's your favorite item.  :o)

She has been creating since her high school days.

Under her bio, she has a very detailed section on how she began her love of crafts and how to take care of the items that are purchased from her shop.

You can also follow Suzanne on her Facebook Fan page.

So, hop on over and start shopping!  Who's going to be her next sale?  Who'll help her reach that great number 5...and then 10...and so on???

Candy's Trinkets

The wonderfully ecletic "Candy's Trinket" Artfire shop was the winner of this month's "Fav Undiscovered Studios" contest.  The contest is a great way for new/unknown shops to get some much needed promotional exposure.  The only requirement:  participating shops have to have -0- sales to enter the contest.

MV is the creating force behind the monthly contest.  We're kindred spirits...we both have the firm belief in promoting those shops that need the help and extra exposure.  Many shop owners don't have much experience/time to devote to networking online.  We help fill that void.  I have agreed to help MV, in her endeavors, and will blog about the winner of each month's contest.  You can vote for your fav shop, each month, on the link above.  Visit MV's shop, it's definately worth perusing!
Anyhoo... back to March's winner is:  Candy's Trinkets

This shop truly is an ecletic shop!  From jewelry (earrings, bracelets, necklaces, & pendants) to European bracelet charms to knitting markers to keychains....and so MUCH more!!!

I had a lot of fun browsing, all of the categories, and had a difficult time settling on which pics to share with you.

Her favorite supplies are:  sterling silver, gold filled, artistic wire, beads, crystals, and lampwork.

Oh, did I mention that there are suncatchers, scarves, cellphone charms also available???  Didn't I tell you that it had a wide variety of things?

Custom orders are always welcomed.  See something you like but want it in a different color?  Or a team pendant (like the one pictured) but want a different team?  Let her know.

New Custom Order Quilts

Isn't this such a fun quilt?

This quilt was made as a custom order but you can order your own version of it today.

Quilt measures approximately 55" x 59". It has been pre-washed and dried to remove shrinkage.

The quilt was machine-pieced and quilted with a "wavy-over-the-ditch" pattern in metallic, variegated bright thread.

Since I did the quilting myself, I am able to offer this quilt to you at a greatly reduced price. My other, non-baby/toddler sized quilts, have been quilted by an award winning long-armer.

Quilt can be made with any colors that you want.

Please note, that the pattern will be the same but the position of the colors, fabric print, etc. will be different than the quilt listed. Every quilt is made to order, so each quilt will be unique and different.

Visit my Artfire and Etsy shops...to purchase a custom quilt and to see more info on it.
